RENDEZVOUS Winners Raghu Sharma, Karan Singh Yadav and Vivek Dhakad to meet party prez Rahul Gandhi soon JAIPUR:

A day after sweeping the three bypolls, while Congress candidates queued up in front of places of worship to thank the almighty and met their supporters, BJP leaders got busy analysing the party’s loss.

Lok Sabha bypoll winners Raghu Sharma from Ajmer, Karan Singh Yadav from Alwar and Vivek Dhakad from Mandalgarh assembly are all set to meet AICC president Rahul Gandhi soon. Even before the newly elected have taken the oath, they chalked out issues to be raised.

“Being a member of the opposition in Lok Sabha, I will raise issues related to farmers, jobs for the youth and development. I will talk about the airport which is yet to get operational and the smart city project,” said newly elected MP from Ajmer, Raghu Sharma, who is all set to make his debut in Parliament.

He said that his priority will be farmers and loan waiver. “When the UPA was in power ₹72,000 crore loan was waived off but even after 80 farmers committed suicide, the present BJP government has done nothing. The BJP promised lakhs of jobs, but the youth is feeling cheated.”

He said people are looking at the Congress with hope, as the ruling BJP has disappointed them. “Not just one, but in all eight assembly constituencies under Ajmer Lok Sabha, Congress has won with large margins. This indicates that the BJP has to go in December,” he said.

Alwar MP Karan Singh Yadav after visiting temples in Alwar and Behror area left for Delhi on Friday afternoon.

MLA Vivek Dhakad, who is making his debut in the state assembly, said that in Mandalgarh there are many places with poor infrastructure. “Irrigation structures, such as anicut and canals, need repair. There are also issues related to mining, which if resolved would facilitate the people,” said Dhakad.

On his win he said people are against government and its working. People remember welfare schemes started by Ashok Gehlot but today they are in poor shape.
