Nagarkoti’s family, relatives celebrate after U19 WC victory

He said the family had talked to Nagarkoti on Friday night.
“He (Kamlesh) wished to perform well against Australia in the final,” he said. “My dream is fulfilled today, as Kamlesh helped his team to become the champion,” added the proud father.
Laxman distributed sweets in the neighbourhood and to the people who came to wish the family after the India’s final victory.
Kamlesh’s mother Champa Devi said, “I could not stop my tears after India won the cup.” She added, “Now, I want my son to represent the senior team in future.”
His sister Babita said, “My phone did not stop ringing for long time as my friends and relatives called to congratulate me.”
His coach Surendra Rathore said that he had called Kamlesh after the India’s final victory.
“He was very happy and said he could express the victory in words,” Rathore said. “We distributed sweets and the school (where Kamlesh studied) is celebrating the victory of India and, of course, of Kamlesh,” said Rathore, adding that Kamlesh’s father Laxman and brother Vinod had also come to him to offer sweets.
Nagarkoti took three wickets against Australia, one against Zimbabwe, three against Bangladesh in the quarterfinal match and two in the final against Australia.
