JAIPUR TAKING POTSHOTS AT THE RULING PARTY, DUDI SAID BJP LEGISLATORS ARE HAPPY THAT THEY LOST THE BYPOLLS AS THEY THINK IT IS FITTING REPLY TO THE CM’S ARROGANCE

: Leader of Opposition in state assembly Rameshwar Dudi said that after forming the government in Rajasthan, the Congress will waive off farmers’ loan.

A day before the start of the budget session in the state assembly, Dudi on Sunday also demanded the resignation of chief minister Vasundhara Raje on moral grounds in view of the bypolls results in which the Congress won three seats —two Lok Sabha and an assembly seat.

Geared to corner the government in the assembly, Dudi said, “We will mount pressure on the government to such an extent that they (will) have to waive of farmers’ loans and if the government does not waive off the loans then the Congress after forming government will do it.”

Addressing newspersons at his residence, he said from Monday, the opposition will corner the government on the burning issues and that every section of the society, including farmers, youngsters, government employees among others, are disappointed and feeling cheated.

“Farmers are in debt and they have not received crop damage compensation and are not getting timely water and electricity, which is leading to suicide.

“If the government intends to empower farmers, then they should waive off loans. The opposition sat in assembly for 54 hours but unfortunately, not once did the CM speak on the issue but was busy campaigning for the by-polls in which people rejected them,” he said.

Dudi said Congress win in the bypolls has shown that now no Modi factor will work. “The government should release a white paper on the announcements it made in the last four budgets and the ones that have been fulfilled, including the Resurgent Rajasthan, oil refinery and the metro among others,” he said.

Taking potshots at the ruling party, he said BJP legislators are happy that they lost the by-polls as they think it is fitting reply to the CM’s arrogance.

He alleged that in the coming eight months, the BJP will work with animosity so corruption will increase in Rajasthan. “In 2018, the Congress will form the government in Rajasthan,” he said.

“People have rejected the BJP and this defeat is of the chief minister. Wherever the BJP is into corruption, we will expose it once we form the next government.”

“The chief minister should resign on moral grounds,” he said. “The youngsters are unemployed, employees are on the road, and doctors’ were on strike, which led to many deaths. No investment came through the Resurgent Rajasthan summit, law and order is deteriorating, criminal gangs are spreading, women are being raped and feeling insecure,” he alleged.
