TRIPURA PITCH UP CM says development is rapid when same party rules Centre and state The Left Front government
(in Tripura) is in many ways an impediment for implementing central welfare schemes on poverty alleviation and other sectors.
YOGI ADITYANATH,
Uttar Pradesh chief minister AGARTALA:
Slamming Tripura’s Left Front government for its “25-years of misgovernance”, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath told an election rally here on Tuesday that if the BJP was voted to power in Tripura, it would ensure that all welfare schemes of the Centre reach the poor, even in the farthest corner of the Northeastern state.
Adityanath, who arrived here on Monday to campaign for party candidates, said the Manik Sarkar-led communist government had deprived the people of Centre’s flagship schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Startup India, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, among others.
“The Left Front government is in many ways an impediment for implementing central welfare schemes on poverty alleviation and other sectors,” news agency PTI reported Adityanath as telling reporters.
Tripura is set to go to polls to elect a 60-member assembly on February 18 and the results would be declared on March 3.
“I appeal to the voters to replace the Left government by the BJP this time. If same governments remain in power in both Centre and the state, development happens rapidly,” said Adityanath while interacting with mediapersons at the BJP headquarters in Agartala.
He also alleged that 11 BJP activists were killed, while women felt insecure under the Left Front regime.
If voted to power, the BJP would implement the 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations that were not introduced in Tripura, much like what the party did in Uttar Pradesh after it came to power 10 months ago, the party leader said.
Adityanath, however, denied allegations by the Left parties that law and order had deteriorated in Uttar Pradesh. “Law and order is completely under control. There was no incident of riots and central forces did not have to interfere even once in the newly-formed BJP government’s rule in UP ,” he said.
During his two-day visit, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister addressed several public meetings and road shows in different districts of Tripura..
Addressing an election rally in southern Tripura, he said the ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist’s cadres had siphoned off ₹1,500 crore meant for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act scheme
