Media twisted remark on girls consuming liquor, says Parrikar

Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday claimed the media twisted his statement while he had only referred to “school and college students”. Last week, he had expressed concern over girls consuming liquor. Parrikar explained, “If someone wants to purposely twist the statement, we cannot help it. It was twisted in such a way that finally the interviewer (who had taken the public interview) had to intervene and tweet that I was referring to school and college students,” he said.
