National level meet of innovative farm scientists begins in Udaipur
UDAIPUR: THE MEET CALLED ’KISAN VEGYANIKO KA RASTHRIYA MANTHAN’ IS BEING JOINTLY HELD BY UDAIPUR’S PACIFIC COLLEGE AND BHARTIYA KISAN SANGH
A two-day national level conference of innovative farm scientists from different states of the country was on Sunday inaugurated at Udaipur.
The conference called “Kisan Vegyaniko ka Rasthriya Manthan” is being jointly organised by Udaipur’s Pacific College and Bhartiya Kisan Sangh.
Fifty-two farm scientists from Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and Rajasthan are participating in the event.
The inaugural session was chaired by Dr BP Sharma, director of the Pacific University and Dr NS Rathore, deputy director of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Delhi, was the chief guest.
The participating farm scientists, are innovators in the field of agriculture and agricultural equipment and some the participants have created farming implements that will lessen the burden of farm workers while others have produced exceptional crop yields in their fields.
The farm scientists said they are developed farming solutions and innovations with the help of which farmers minimize farmer suicides in the country.
Forty-two participating farm scientists were felicitated during the inaugural session for the extraordinary work they have done in the field of agriculture.
A book titled “Prayogdharmi Kisan” written by Dr Mahendra Madhup was also launched.
