State education minister Vasudev Devnani on Sunday interacted with girl students of three schools in Ajmer and encouraged them to do well in life.

“You are architect of your own destiny and should set your goals for life during the school days itself,” said Devnani, while addressing the students of Central Girls Upper Middle School, Draupadi Devi Sanwarmal Girls Upper Middle School and Sindhi Delhigate Girls School.

“Self-confidence is the key to success,” he told the girls.

Devnani also talked about education, welfare schemes being run by the government, counselling of girl students and other topics related to career choices for the girls.

Devnani said that students should not put themselves under any stress during the exams, but come to school and appear for exams like any other day. He said the students should study with focus.

“If you are confident, you will perform well in exam,” he told the girls. Devnani said students should make it a habit to go through the entire question paper and then attempt those questions first that they are confident about. “Attempt the questions which you don’t know well in the end,” he said.

In his concluding remarks, Devnani said that school education is a foundation for the future and students should set their goals keeping their interest, aptitude and capability in mind.

“The girls should not hesitate to choose a career of their liking and should remember that they can achieve any goal if they have courage,” he said. Senior education department officials and school faculty were present on the occasion.
