Allen students bag top-3 ranks in KVPY

Students of Allen Career Institute of Kota have bagged topthree positions in the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana2017-18 examinatio­n to set a new record.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) examinatio­n, organised by the Department of Science and Technology, is a National Programmem­e of Fellowship in Basic Sciences to attract “exceptiona­lly highly motivated” students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

In the KVPY results for Class 11 (SA category) and Class 12 (SX category), 11 students of Allen Career have found places in the top 10 list. A total of 431 students have been selected from the institute. “Allen students have proved superiorit­y in the results. In the results of Class 11, institute’s student Nishant Abhangi made all of us proud by securing AIR-1 (All India Rank-1),” said Brajesh Maheshwari, the director of the institute.

Dhyey Sankalp Gandhi secured AIR-2 and Rajdeep Singh Dhingra got AIR-3. Among others who figure in the top-10 list of Class 11 are Sumanyu Mahajan (AIR-7) and Ayushman Tripathy (AIR-10). 5 In the Class 12 results, Allen’s successful students are Yash Gupta (AIR-4), Vishwesh Milind (AIR-5), Bhaskar Gupta (AIR-6) Akhil Tambi (AIR-8), Amulya Gupta (AIR-9) and Abhinav Gupta (AIR-10).

Vishwesh Milind and Amulya Gupta are students of Allen’s distance learning programmem­e and the rest of the students are of the institute’s classroom programme. Nishant Abhangi, the topper of KVPY 2017-18, said that to achieve his goal, he focused on classroom coaching and Class 10 syllabus.
