BJP legislator Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s wife Sangeeta Sengar met UP director general of police (DGP) on Wednesday and demanded narco-analysis test on her husband as well as on the woman who has accused him of rape.
“I have demanded an independent inquiry into the allegations as my husband is unnecessarily being framed in a rape case. It is a conspiracy to end his political career,” she told media persons here.
She was accompanied by BJP MLA Shailesh Kumar Singh Shailu.
She said her husband had confined himself in a room and was not speaking to anybody after fake allegations were levelled against him.
“My family wants the truth to come out before the media and the people. Those behind the conspiracy should be exposed,” she said.
Sangeeta said the media had already declared her husband guilty of raping the woman.
“The woman and her family have not presented any evidence against my husband till now. One should not be projected as a rapist without any evidence,” she said and added that the same woman had accused three other men of rape and was now levelling similar charges against the MLA. The woman’s family has alleged that their attempts to register a complaint against the MLA were not entertained by the police as the accused enjoyed political clout.

Before succumbing to injuries, the father of the alleged rape survivor purportedly accused Atul Singh Sengar, brother of BJP MLA from Bangarmau Kuldeep Singh Sengar, of attacking him in the presence of the police.
A video of his statement went viral on social media after TV news channel NDTV flashed it on Wednesday.
In the video, the woman’s father is seen accusing Atul of assaulting him till he fainted.
He said several policemen were present when he was being attacked but none of them came to his rescue. He also alleged that the BJP MLA was involved in the disappearance of his daughter in June last year.
He reportedly made the statement on April 4 while talking to a channel when brought to Unnao district hospital for medical examination after being attacked allegedly by Atul and his men. After attacking him, the MLA’s supporters also registered a case against him at Makhi police station.
For the next five days, he remained behind bars without any proper medical aid. He complained of abdominal pain late on Sunday evening and was taken to the district hospital where he died on Monday morning. The post-mortem report had revealed that he had as many as 14 injury marks on his body and died of shock and septicaemia. Chief medical officer (CMO), Unnao, Dr SP Chaudhary had said on Tuesday that the man died of shock and septicaemia caused due to perforation in the ascending colon.
