MINOR’S ABDUCTION BID: MAN ARRESTED

Jaipur Police on Friday arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the attempted abduction of a nine-year-old girl. Identified as Abhay Singh, the accused has confessed to the crime, DCP east Kunwar Rashtradeep said. A complaint was lodged in Bajaj Nagar police station by Rakesh Jaimini, stating that a man had attempted to kidnap his daughter on Thursday morning while she had gone out to buy milk for a dairy nearby. The report stated that while she was walking back home, an unidentified man on a motorcycle forcefully made her sit on the bike at the pretext of asking about her school’s address. After driving for a short distance, his bike malfunctioned and stopped. The girl, crying, got off from the bike and ran away. Singh is being interrogated by the police.
