Muslim Cong workers protest during party meet in Udaipur
The meeting of Congress leaders held on Saturday at Udaipur in connection with an upcoming regional conference turned chaotic after some Muslims protested against not letting any Muslim party workers sit on the stage during the meeting.
The protestors raised their objection in front of All India Congress Committee secretary Tarun Kumar, who came to Udaipur to take the stock of the party’s upcoming regional conference, which is proposed to be held on April 26.
The Muslim party workers were angry with the senior leaders since not a single Muslim representative has been including in the list of members of All India Congress Committee.
The protestors said Congress only uses Muslims as vote banks but not a single Muslim representative has been included in any of the committees for the conference or given a chance to represent the community.
They also claimed that from Udaipur division only those people were given the membership of the AICC which are either influential or closely associated with senior party leaders.
Amid these protests and allegations, the meeting turned into a battle ground which continued for almost half an hour.
Congress is organising a regional conference at Udaipur on 26th April.
