Parth, the son of doctor parents from Nanded, scored 350 out of 360 marks.

Parth said studying regularly was the key to his success and making notes, getting doubts cleared and regular interaction with teachers and parents also helped him get a good rank.

“I used to regularly revise every subject after the daily classes. Apart from the regular coaching, I used to devote five to six hours for studies. Every day, I had some subject wise targets that I used to complete,” he said.

“My friend Akash’s mother lived with us, which also helped us. My mother also used to visit me from time to time.”

Parth’s father Satish Laturia is a physician and his mother Seema Laturia is a paediatrician, who run their private hospital in Nanded.

The board said more than 10,00,000 students appeared in the JEE Main 2018 offline exam held on April 8 and more than 200,000 candidates took the online exam on April 15 and April 16.

The top 220,000 candidates will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2018 for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other top engineering institutes.
