‘Inculcate values along with education’
JAIPUR: BHADEL DISTRIBUTED WEIGHING SCALES, SMALL ALMIRAHS, WATER CAMPERS, TRICYCLE ETC GIVEN BY AAI JAIPUR, TO 187 ANGANWARI CENTRES
Woman and Child Development Minister Anita Bhadel on Monday said that apart from imparting education anganwari centres should also inculcate values in children so that they become good citizens .
Bhadel was addressing a programme organised jointly by the department and Airport Authority of India (AAI), Jaipur Airport at Gayatri shakti Peeth auditorium. She told anganwari workers to ensure regular attendance of children and they themselves remain present regularly at the centre. Anganwari workers should also check weight and health of children.
Bhadel distributed weighing scales, small almirahs, water campers, tricycle etc given by AAI Jaipur, under Nand Ghar Yojana in corporate social responsibility (CSR), to 187 anganwari centres in Jaipur-III.
The minister thanked the airport personnel for this initiative. She said for monitoring services at anganwari centres, all anganwari workers have been given smart phones and tablets under information communication technique-real time monitoring. This is helping in providing facilities and strengthening anganwari centres.
Hawa Mahal assembly constituency MLA Surendra Pareek praising the positive change that has come in the working of anganwari centres said it is helping in physical development of children coming to these centres.
He hoped that with this initiative of AAI, other institutions will also get inspired and come forward to help anganwari centres.
