Fantasy sports company booked for evading GST

Jaipur zonal unit of Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) conducted a raid on the premises of a company engaged in fantasy sports games on Thursday for evading Goods and Services Tax (GST). As per preliminary investigation, the company’s GST liability has been pegged at Rs 7 crore. My Team11 Fantasy Sports Pvt Ltd had voluntarily deposited Rs 1.53 crore as part of GST liability Thursday, when their premises in Vaishali Nagar were raided. “The company was being run by Vineet Godara and Sanjeet Sihag. It had been operational for around a year,” an official said. During the raids, DGGI seized records pertaining to evasion of GST.

The deceased, Mukesh Shekhawat (34), was returning home with three friends when their car collided with a divider on the JhalawarBaran road and fell into a ditch, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Anantpura police station, Deshraj, said.
