PRAISE Raje said implementation of govt schemes has changed lives

four years of the Narendra Modi government, chief minister Vasundhara Raje said, “Our government at the Centre has come up to people’s expectations and has written a golden chapter.”

The people of the country believe that the promises made have been fulfilled, she told newspersons on Sunday, congratulating the PM on behalf of people of Rajasthan on the “successful completion” of four years. “The achievements established in four years will bring the party (BJP) back to power at the state and the Centre under the leadership of Modi,” she said.

“We have reached here because of the able leadership, commitment and good governance of Modi. People for the last 70 years had dreams to be fulfilled, but nothing happened and they thought it will never happen. The government led by Modi did a great job and materialised them on the ground.”

Credibility of India has gone up in the world and it has emerged as an empowered country in the globe, Raje said, adding that the government worked with good intentions and thoughts, focusing on development.

Central government schemes, such as Ujjwala, Mudra, DBT (direct benefit transfer), and Swachh Bharat, have brought changes in the life of over 22 crore people, she said.

“Under Ujjwala scheme, 3.80 crore women were given gas connections;

the PM’s housing scheme benefited over one crore families; electricity reached to four crore families under the Saubhagya scheme; and one crore youths were skilled under Skill India programme, resulting in job opportunities.”

The CM said 7.25 crore toilets were made under the Swachh Bharat Mission and 17 states and 3.60 lakh villages have become open defecation free. “In the last four years, over 1.69 lakh km roads were made and under Bharat Mala scheme new programmes of ₹5.35 lakh crore for roads are prepared, which will also benefit Rajasthan. More than 12.50 lakh crore farmers have been given soil health cards.”

Raje said India has become the fastest growing economy — FDI (foreign direct investment) was earlier 36.5 billion dollar, now it’s 60 billion dollar.

The government has taken major steps to bring backward classes into mainstream, she said. “₹90,000 crore was given for SCs/STs in budget. The SC/ST (prevention of atrocity) Act was strengthened. Under PM MUDRA scheme over 50% loan was given to backward classes.”

On rising petrol-diesel prices, the CM said, “I am hopeful, soon a solution would come.”

BJP CHALKS OUT PLAN TO REACH VOTERS

The BJP in Rajasthan on Sunday chalked out a plan to reach out to voters at booth level across the state. Ashok Parnami, who resigned as the party’s state president last month, said the core committee decided to hold several activities including marathons in every district on June 1 and ‘Kamal Sandesh Rally’ by Yuva Morcha at mandal level on June 2.

He told reporters after the core committee meeting attended by chief minister Vasundhara Raje at the party headquarters here that booth sampark abhiyan will be held across the state on June 9 and 10.
