Toppers chose creative ways to relax between studies

Class 12 toppers from the city prefer to let their hair down creatively. They took to different activities during their study breaks while preparing for the board exams.

Srinidhi Srinivasan was the top scorer of Seedling Modern High School with 97.2%. A humanities student , Srinivasan said she loves dancing. “I like to dance when I am free. We often used to dance in school functions. Though I haven’t received any formal training, I prefer classical dance forms over western or Bollywood,” she said.

Srinivasan said that she was consistent with her studies and used to revise the school lessons daily. “Usually, I studied three hours daily, but during exams, it would stretch up to at least nine to 10 hours a day,” she said.

Srinivasan plans to pursue her graduation in sociology. “I will be applying in some of the top colleges under Delhi University and St Xavier’s in Mumbai for sociology

honours. My aim is to become an IAS officer,” she said.

Manan Bhardwaj of Vidyashram School scored 96.2% in boards. He said he blew off the steam by playing guitar. “I was a guitarist of my school. So I use to play the guitar and sing when I took breaks. I also write poetry. I have a collection of 30 english poems and it is going to be published within a year,” Bhardwaj said.

Bhardwaj said he began writing poetry in class 10. “I used to be so fascinated by the concept of physics that I used to write poems on theories. So that helped me in understand­ing the concepts and rememberin­g them in a better manner,” he said.

A Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana scholar, Bharadwaj said he wants to become a cardio surgeon.

“I appeared for NEET exam and I’m hoping I will secure a good rank,” Bhardwaj said.
