CONGRESS PROTESTS FUEL PRICE HIKE

Amid the constant rise in fuel prices, a local Congress leader along with some locals today took out a ‘Shav Yatra’ or funeral procession of a motorcycle on a hand pulled cart here. Decorated with flowers, the cart with motorcycle was pulled by Congress leader Suresh Mishra and some others. They took out the symbolic procession for nearly one and a half km area in Bhankrota area. “Fuel prices have put extra burden on people and have disturbed their budget. But the government is taking no measures to control the prices,” Mishra said. Congress workers on Monday also held a demonstrat­ion over the drinking water crisis in the city and demanded that Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje intervene and provide a solution. Led by state Congress chief Sachin Pilot, Congress workers held a ‘Matka Tod’ demonstrat­ion at Panipech area, where they broke earthen pots.
