Saurabh reached Rahul’s hostel only to find him hanging from the ceiling fan.

“Reason for the extreme step is not clear as no suicide note has been found,” said Circle Inspector, Neeraj Gupta. He said that the student was waiting for his Class 10 results and homesickness or study stress could be the reason behind him taking the extreme step.

He said the post-mortem would conducted once Rahul’s parents reach Kota.

This is the 10th student suicide in Kota so far this year. Around 1.50 lakh students from all over the country reach Kota to prepare for medical and engineering entrance examinations.
