Mexico’s ‘Grand Warlock’ casts spell
With the help of two priestesses and a rain stickshaped like an ancient Mesoamerican god, Mexico’s “Grand Warlock” cast a spell on Wednesday to help the nation at least reach the quarterfinals in Russia.
Antonio Vazquez — better known as “El Brujo Mayor,” a soothsayer famed for his annual predictions on politics and the news — invoked the plumed serpent god Quetzalcoatl, worshipped by the Aztecs and other pre-Columbian peoples .
“Give me all your force and power to break through heaven’s doors, let Mexico reach the fifth match. Quetzalcoatl, let it be so,” he said

top US intelligence official warned football fans traveling to Russia that their phones and computers could be hacked by Moscow’s cyber spies.
William Evanina, Director of the Na tional Counterintelligence and Security Center, said that in Russia, even people who believe they are too unimportant to be hacked can be targeted.
“Anyone traveling to Russia to attend the World Cup should be clear-eyed about the cyber risks involved,” Evanina said. “If you’re planning on taking a mobile phone, laptop, PDA, or other electronic device with you, any data on those devices may be accessed by the Russian government or cyber criminals.”
