Beneficiaries of welfare schemes to attend PM’s Jaipur rally
: The Rajasthan government is short-listing names of beneficiaries of welfare schemes from different districts to take part in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Jaipur on July 7.
State panchayati raj minister Rajendra Rathore held a meeting at the collectorate in Churu on Monday in this regard. Rathore instructed the officials to ensure that a list of beneficiaries of 12 welfare schemes, being run in the state, is prepared at the block level.
Rathore also reviewed the preparations in Churu, said an official.
District collector Muktanand Agrawal said that about 7,000 beneficiaries from the district will be taking part in the prime minister’s rally.
The state government has instructed collectors of all the districts to shortlist beneficiaries of different welfare schemes for taking part in the rally.
An official of the general administration department said a detailed programme of the prime minister’s visit is yet to be received by them.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Jaipur on July 7 to take part in a public function. Sources said that Modi is likely to attend a conference on urban development and smart city projects. The PM is also likely to address a rally and the state government is in the process of identifying a suitable venue in the city. However, the schedule is tentative and will be confirmed in the coming days.
