Two killed over personal enmity

-

Personal enmity claimed two lives in separate incidents in Bharatpur on Monday. Karan Singh Gurjar, 40, was shot dead when two persons opened fire at an unregistered medical clinic where he worked.

Shakir Mev and Ruzdar Mev had opened a clinic on Sikri road in Nagar a few days ago. However, their neighbour Hafiz Mev was unhappy as his own clinic is near the clinic opened by Shakir and Ruzdar.

On Monday, Shakir and Ruzdar opened fire at Hafiz Mev. Gurjar, who worked at Hafiz’s clinic, was killed while his son, Shaukeen, was injured. He was taken to the community health centre in Nagar but doctors referred him to Alwar as his condition was critical.

The police took Gurjar’s body to the mortuary for a postmortem after which it was handed over to his family and a complaint was registered.

SP Anil Kumar Tank said Shakir and Ruzdar have been detained for interrogation.

In another incident, 38-yearold Sahav Singh Kushwah was attacked with an iron rod on Sunday by his neighbour Mahendra Singh Kushwah while he was sleeping at home in Saindpura village. His family rushed him to a government hospital but the doctors declared him dead. Hakim Singh filed a police complaint against Mahendra Singh for killing his brother over a boundary wall dispute.

Station house officer (SHO) of Uchchain police Purshottam Singh said the accused fled after killing. “There was a dispute between the two over a boundary wall. Mahendra Singh attacked him with an iron rod and fled.”

Police are searching for him after a complaint was filed, police said. HTC
