Two quintals of narcotic substance seized, 1 arrested

The Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police today arrested one person and seized two quintals of ‘Chura Post’ from his possession, an official said.

Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force intercepte­d a truck and recovered the narcotic substance worth ~10 lakh, he said.

The accused was identified as Rashid, a resident of Sigar village in Haryana.

During interrogat­ion, the accused Rashid revealed that the narcotic substance was brought from Chittorgar­h in Rajasthan and was supposed to be supplied at roadside eateries in Sonipat and Panipat, the STF official said. More than 400 people were interrogat­ed for obtaining leads to reach those who instigated the offender found involved in the crime
