Two quintals of narcotic substance seized, 1 arrested

The Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police today arrested one person and seized two quintals of ‘Chura Post’ from his possession, an official said.

Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force intercepted a truck and recovered the narcotic substance worth ~10 lakh, he said.

The accused was identified as Rashid, a resident of Sigar village in Haryana.

During interrogation, the accused Rashid revealed that the narcotic substance was brought from Chittorgarh in Rajasthan and was supposed to be supplied at roadside eateries in Sonipat and Panipat, the STF official said.
