Finish Dravyawati, Ring Road projects on time: Raje to babus

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje directed officers to complete the projects going on under the smart city project, beautifica­tion drive and other developmen­t schemes in Jaipur and other cities on time.

She said people of Jaipur are eagerly waiting for Dravyawati Riverfront project and Ring Road, along with other developmen­t projects.

She was reviewing the urban developmen­t projects of many cities, including projects of four smart cities.

Raje said Dravyawati river, ring road, beautifica­tion of walled city, lighting system on roads and other projects going on in Jaipur should be completed within the fixed deadline of August 15. She suggested executing agencies to increase the number of labourers to finish the work before the deadline.

She said maximum green area should be developed along the sides of Dravyawati river, so that people can get pure air. She directed officials to intensify the process of land acquisitio­n for the next phase of Ring Road.

She also reviewed the works of pond at Choti Chaupar, smart lighting, green cover and beautifica­tion of Kishan Bagh, Talkatora lake developmen­t, multilevel parking and renovation of stepwells in Jaipur. She directed to encourage people to put rooftop solar energy panels at their houses and launch a special campaign.

Local bodies secretary Naveen Mahajan and Jaipur Developmen­t commission­er Vaibhav Galria informed about the progress of various projects through power point presentati­on. They informed that the ranking of implementa­tion of smart cities projects at Jaipur, Udaipur, Ajmer and Kota is among top 15 in the country.

Discussion was also held on smart class room, central command centre building, road and sewerage projects in Udaipur; developmen­t of Dusshera Maidan and solid waste management in Kota; in Ajmer the elevated road, Annasagar lake developmen­t project and renovation of drinking pipelines in Ajmer city along with constructi­on of Ambedkar Bhawans, modern toilets and developmen­t of crematoriu­m and graveyard proposed by the local bodies and other developmen­t projects.

Additional chief secretary (ACS) finance Mukesh Sharma, ACS urban developmen­t PK Goyal, principal secretary tourism, art and culture Kuldeep Ranka, director local bodies Pawan Arora, commission­er Jaipur Municipal Corporatio­n Ravi Jain, chief executive officer Jaipur Smart City project Suresh Ola, National High Authority representa­tives and officers of various department­s and representa­tives of executing agencies were present in the meeting.
