JAIPUR THE CENTRAL INVESTIGATION AGENCY HAD SUMMONED 59 OFFICERS AND JAWANS, WHO WERE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE ENCOUNTER, FOR THE EXERCISE

: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team and CFSL (Central Forensic Science Laboratory) experts recreated the scene of gangster Anandpal Singh’s encounter at Malasar in Rajasthan’s Churu district on Tuesday.

The re-enactment was done in seven phases at Shravan Singh’s house where Anandpal was killed in a police encounter on June 24, 2017, said officials associated with investigations. Fifty-seven members of Haryana and Rajasthan police conducted a dummy encounter in the same manner, which they have mentioned in the report submitted to CBI.

The central investigation agency had summoned 59 officers and jawans, who were present at the time of the encounter, for the exercise. A 10-member FSL team was also present on the occasion.

A report regarding the location of police officials, based on their cell phone locations, has been prepared by the forensic team. Weapons used by Anandpal have been examined.

The CBI team under Sunil Rawat has been camping in Churu for conducting investigations and taking statements of all persons concerned with the case. All policemen, witnesses and members of Anandpal’s family have been questioned by the agency.

Meanwhile, RPS Vidya Prakash, circle officer for Kuchaman city of Nagaur district and one of the key officers related to Anandpal case, was put on APO (awaiting posting order) by the police department.

Nagaur SP Harendra Kumar Mahawer, “We have got the orders from the police department. The order has nothing to do with Anandpal case. It is a routine process.”

Vidya Prakash had arrested Anandpal’s brother Vicky Singh from Sirsa district in Haryana and gathered the location details of Anandpal.

After the encounter, his family had demanded a CBI probe, claiming that he had wanted to surrender but was killed by the cops.
