Jaipur Discom extends last date of three schemes
JAIPUR: SCHEME IS FOR THE CONSUMERS IN NONDOMESTIC, INDUSTRIAL AND MIXED LOAD CATEGORY
Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, also known as Jaipur Discom, has extended the last date of three important schemes from July 31 to August 31 for the benefit of power consumers, an official release stated.
Electricity consumers can now avail the benefit of amnesty scheme, pending vigilance checking report (VCR) redressal scheme and the consumers in agriculture sector can avail voluntary load increase and category conversion scheme till August 31, 2018, Jaipur Discom chairman and managing director (CMD) RG Gupta said on Friday.
The amnesty scheme is for the consumers in non-domestic, industrial and mixed load category that have been disconnected till March 31, 2017 and also for customers of domestic, agriculture, SIP (rural) and departments of state and central government whose connections have been snapped. On depositing the outstanding electricity bill, there will be 100 per cent concession on interest and penalty and consumers can get their connection restored, Gupta said.
Under the VCR redressal scheme, applicable to pending VCRs till December 31, 2017, consumer can deposit 50% of the amount up to ~50,000.
On the amount above ~50,000, 50% of ~50,000 and 10% on the amount above ~50,000 can be deposited.
Under the voluntary load increase and category conversion scheme, the consumers will continue to enjoy power supply till the last date.
Under the category conversion scheme, domestic category consumers can get it changed to nondomestic category on normal rates.
Under the voluntary load increase scheme, agriculture consumer, having agriculture connection for more than one year, can get the load regularised without paying any penalty after depositing a security money of ~30 per horse power (15 per horse power for two months).
