Govt to felicitate people, firms at Independence Day function

The state government will felicitate people from various fields for their outstanding work at a state-level Independence Day function, to be held at Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday.

A press release issued by the government on Tuesday stated that four police officers and employees will be among the award recipients. Dharamchand Jain, the additional director general of police, vigilance and Mahaveer Singh Rajput, a subinspector with the Thawla police in Nagaur district, will be awarded with the President’s Police Medal. Similarly, Shantanu Kumar Singh, an additional SP of ATS will be awared a gun and a certificate, while Ajaypal Lamba, then deputy commissioner of police of Jodhpur and present SP of Jaipur rural, will be awarded with a pistol with a certificate.

According to the press release, Karauli district collector Abhimanyu Singh, Banswara district collector Bhagwati Prasad Kalal, deputy secretary finance Dinesh Kumar Sharma, senior professor and head of neurosurgery department of Sawai Man Singh Medical College Dr Virendra D Sinha, additional director information technology and communication department Ramesh Chand Sharma, superintending engineer Public Works Department Sunil Gupta, associate professor ENT department SMS Medical College Dr Mohnish Grover, private secretary to personnel department secretary Ramesh Chand Kumawat, joint director (statistics) of chief minister’s office Hari Om Sharma, homeopathic medical officer Dr Tara Prakash Yadav, assistant legal consultant to governor secretariat Sunil Kumar Gupta, section officer personnel department Pramendra Sharma and chief executive officer and project director rural development department Surendra Singh Rathore will be felicitated with a certificate of honour.

The government will also award some private companies for making highest SGST contribution.
