JAIPUR The BJP government is using hard earned money of public and misusing administration to take out Gaurav Yatra SACHIN PILOT, state Congress chief

: Presence of a large number of public at Sankalp Rally clearly indicates that the people have decided to oust the “antipeople” BJP government from power in Rajasthan, Congress state unit president Sachin Pilot said on Tuesday.

“The BJP government is using hard earned money of public and misusing administration to take out Gaurav Yatra led by CM Vasundhara Raje but despite that they are not getting the public support,” Pilot said while addressing second Sankalp Rally in Churu.

“Today, when protests are being held, Raje is blaming the Congress… but I would like to say that Congress ideology is of nonviolence, where there is no space of any kind of violence. We strongly condemn violence but this protest is against BJP’s misgovernance, autocracy and reflection of anti-people polices.”

He said the stone pelting incident on Gaurav Yatra in Jodhpur was condemnable and action should be taken against those responsible for it but the government needs to understand that people came to know their policy of blaming the Congress to gain sympathy.

The ruling BJP is holding Gaurav Yatra while the Congress is organising Sankalp Rally in Rajasthan that will go to the polls later this year.

Pilot said plight of farmers and sections associated with agriculture were not unknown. In the past elections, the BJP misguided farmers, promising thrice the price of produce. But after coming to power, they forgot their promise, he added.

Youth of the state are unemployed, women do not feel safe, atrocities on Dalits have increased while law and order situation has deteriorated, the Congress state unit chief said.

“The BJP has failed on all fronts and have encouraged corruption.”

“The BJP should go among masses with their works. But instead of that, government representatives are criticising the Congress,” he said.

Asking people to support the Congress , he said, “I assure you that (if) the Congress (forms) government will have public participation. Youth, farmers, women and all sections will feel that this is there government.”

Former chief minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said out of “animosity”, the BJP government had stalled all welfare schemes launched by the previous Congress government. It was BJP’s weakness to blame the Congress for anger among public, he said.

‘CONG CHANGES BALLOT FIGHT TO STONE FIGHT’

Social justice and empowerment minister Arun Chaturvedi on Tuesday said when the Congress was wiped out from the country, it was resorting to violence like pelting stone on Gaurav Yatra in Jodhpur’s Pipad. The Congress, however, denied its role in the stone pelting incident.

“The Congress is in frustration as they do not have any work of their own to tell people. It is because of this, the Congress fails to discuss their work and finds faults with others,” he said.

“Today was Congress’s second Sankalp Rally…they are trying to pull crowd in name of Rahul Gandhi but they themselves are not able to decide in which rally their national party president should come.” He alleged that due to internal differences, Gandhi was not able to gather courage to visit Rajasthan.
