Govt to felicitate 36 teachers at function

: Chief minister Vasundhara Raje will felicitate 36 teachers with the state-level teachers’ award for their exemplary work at a function here on Wednesday.

A day after holding dialogue with the beneficiar­ies of government schemes, Raje will meet the teachers recruited during her tenure at a meeting to be held at Amrudho Ka Bagh in Jaipur on Teachers’ Day. The government has recruited around 80,000 teachers in its more than fouryear rule.

The government will also distribute laptops, cycles and scooty to students excelling in examinatio­ns.

Education minister Vasudev Devnani said that one teacher from each district will be given ‘Shri Guruji Purushkar Samman’. He said three district collectors will also be felicitate­d for their outstandin­g work. They are Muktanand Agarwal (Churu), Dinesh Jain (Hanumangar­h) and Dinesh Yadav (Jhunjhunu). Devnani said two teachers from Rajasthan will be felicitate­d at national level by the President in New Delhi. The two are Dr Suman Jhakhad from government girls school in Rajagarh, Churu and Imran Khan from government Sanskrit school in Alwar. The two teachers will be given ₹51,000 each and a certificat­e of appreciati­on.
