University of Oxford vice chancellor Prof. Louise Richardson will be the chief guest at the 35th convocatio­n of Banasthali Vidyapith on Friday, according to a release from Banasthali. Prof. Richardson, first woman v-c of the 800-year-old university will give away doctoral, postgradua­te and graduate degrees to 3,761 students. Banasthali Vidyapith vice chancellor Prof. Aditya Shastri said Prof. Lousie will inspect the ceremonial parade by Banasthali Sewa Dal and witness the horse riding and flying skill demonstrat­ions. citing absence since September 17, JCTSL will be producing advertisem­ents for applicatio­ns of new candidates for the vacancy. JCTSL employees have been on strike since September 17 demanding implementa­tion of seventh pay commission including 23 other demands. JCTSL, said that the terminatio­n and the call for new applicatio­n for the vacancy is important since proper action was needed on the employees who are absent from their duties. “People of the city are facing a lot of problem while commuting. A city like Jaipur needs a constant commuting of buses on various routes. We were bound to take action on the bus agents who were absent from their duties for such a long time,” said Goswami.
