The agitating government employees of various departments will continue with their protest as consensus over demands could not be reached with the three-member ministerial committee on Thursday.

The employees continue with their stand of participating in an upcoming rally to be held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ajmer.

Rajasthan Rajya Mantralayik (ministerial) Karamchari Mahasangh President Manoj Saxena said, “The talks with the government committee failed. We will participate in the PM rally in Ajmer wearing white t-shirts, on which our demands will be written. The finance department is disagreeing on revising our grade pay and until it is met, we will not call off the protest.”

Joint front of Rajasthan State Roadways Transport Corporation (RSRTC) trade unions, AITUC state president ML Yadav said, “We were not called for talks. Around 10,000 employees will be going to Ajmer. Through the district collector, we have asked time to meet the PM.” He added that Congress state president Sachin Pilot Thursday came to the sit-in and assured that once the Congress forms the government, the employees’ demands will be met. Addressing the employees, Pilot said, “I assure that the Congress government will take the justified demands on priority and will include the demands in our party manifesto.”
