Ghosal climbs to careerbest world squash ranking

Saurav Ghosal has climbed to his career-best world ranking of 11 while Joshna Chinappa jumped four places to be placed 14th in women’s squash.

As per the October rankings released by the PSA, Ghosal moved up a spot from the previous month’s 12th. Chinappa improved to 14th, which is four short of her career best of 10 she had reached less than two years ago. Dipika Pallikal Karthik dropped four rungs to be on 23.

Finals holder Caroline Wozniacki and former champion Petra Kvitova have clinched places in this month’s season-ending tournament in Singapore, the WTA announced on Thursday.
