Seasonal diseases claim 200 lives this year
: Seasonal diseases have claimed more than 190 lives in the state this year. According to data from the health department, 185 people have died of swine flu, four have died of dengue and more than 20 died of scrub typhus from January 1 and October 8. With the entry of Zika virus in Jaipur, 29 people have tested positive for Zika so far.
Total 1,840 cases of swine flu were reported in the state from January 1 and October 8, of which 185 have resulted in deaths. In the last two weeks, 300 people tested positive for swine flu, and 33 deaths have taken place. The worst affected districts are Jaipur with 821 cases and 36 deaths, Kota with 287 cases and 23 deaths and Jodhpur with 105 cases and 18 deaths.

JAIPUR:
Malaria Chikungunya four people. More than 800 people tested positive for dengue in the last two weeks. The worst affected districts are Jaipur with 1166 cases, Kota with 292 cases, Alwar with 201 cases and Bharatpur with 150 cases. Of the four deaths, two have taken place in Bikaner and two in Jhunjhunu district.
190 people were found suffering from chikungunya in the state, with maximum cases of 68 affected from Jaipur, followed by 32 in Jodhpur and 20 in Ajmer. 3,868 people were found positive with malaria, of which 177 people were identified with plasmodium falciparum (PF), the deadliest species of plasmodium causing malaria in humans. The worst affected districts are Udaipur with 772 cases of which 107 are PF cases, 257 cases in Dungarpur with 5 PF cases and 213 in Rajsamand with 13 PF cases.
