: Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot on Tuesday inspected the preparations for Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s road show and public meeting in Jhalawar and Kota on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters during the inspection in Kota, Pilot said: “The BJP might refuse party tickets to around 100 sitting MLAs reflecting lack of trust of BJP in its own MLAs.”

Rahul Gandhi will commence the party’s campaign in Hadoti region with a public meeting at CM Vasundhara Raje’s constituency of Jhalawar. After the public meeting in Jhalawar, Rahul Gandhi will attend a road show from Jhalawar to Kota in the afternoon. “When the BJP is not trusting its own MLAs, how people will trust them,” he said.

“Maximum number of farmer suicides were reported from Hadoti region, which reflects the failure of the state government on agricultural front. Along with other sections of the society, youth and farmers are particularly annoyed with Raje government and her MLAs,” Pilot said.

The Congress leader said that the “people were misled in the previous assembly elections but as the BJP government has failed to deliver, they are waiting for the polling day on December 7 to oust the BJP government”. He expressed confidence that the Congress will win all the 17 assembly constituencies.

“The BJP has a process of deciding tickets. We took feedback from 12,000 workers over six days through an extensive exercise. The Congress will never have the courage to do this. Our tickets will be given to those whom the workers and people trust,” said Sanjay Jain Tau, BJP district president, Jhalawar.
