Ridhima, Tvesa battle it out in Women’s Pro Golf
Rookie Ridhima Dilawari put herself in a position to bag her first title as a professional, while Tvesa Malik made a strong comeback to set up a keen tussle for top honours in the 17th Leg of Women’s Pro Golf Tour. Ridhima shot three-over 75 on a day when Order of Merit leader Tvesa carded par or better. Ridhima is five-over 149 and leads Tvesa by one shot. Smriti Mehra, who led on the first day, had a rough second round when she had four bogeys in a span of five holes. She ended up with a sevenover 79 and slipped to tied third.

Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB), who will be defending their team titles in all three sections --- men’s freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle --- and Haryana have sent the biggest contingents of 48 each. The RSPB team will be spearheaded by Asian Games and CWG gold medallist Vinesh Phogat (57kg), Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik (62kg) and Asian Championship gold medallist Navjot Kaur in the 68kg category. Haryana will be relying on the likes of Mousam Khatri and Geeta Phogat.
