Ridhima wins maiden pro title

Dilawari won her maiden profession­al title, cruising to a win in the 17th leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at the Noida Golf Course on Friday. Ridhima carded a steady evenpar 72 to total five-over 221 and win by five shots over Gursimar Badwal.

Ridhima had finished second in the 15th Leg, which was her debut event on the local tour.

INTER-SCHOOL GOLF

Army Public School, Noida clinched the inaugural ‘SelaQui Internatio­nal InterSchoo­l Golf Championsh­ip’ at the Classic Golf & Country Club. The team comprised of Akshath Sharma and Arin Ahuja.

The winning school in the 9-12 age group was Pathways School, Noida, comprising of Ansh Dubey and Arjun Malhotra.

SRI LANKA BAG TITLE

Sri Lanka lifted the trophy defeating India by 36 runs in the final of the first Deaf-ICC T20 World Cup here on Friday. Player of the tournament, Sri Lanka’s Gimadu Malkam hit 41 runs and took three wickets to guide his team to victory.

Sri Lanka scored 145 in their 20 overs and bundled out India for 109 in the 18th over.
