Robert Vadra in Jaipur to face ED in land case
JAIPUR: Robert Vadra arrived in Jaipur on Monday afternoon to answer the questions framed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a case involving 275 acres of land in the Kolayat sub-division of Bikaner district. He reached Jaipur airport through a regular flight.
Vadra will be questioned by the senior authorities of ED at the zonal office on Tuesday. According to sources, he will have to answer 55 questions being drafted by the ED.
AICC GS and Vadra’s wife Priyanak Vadra is also expected to reach Jaipur on Monday around 8.30 pm by a private charter. As per sources in Congress, she will accompany her husband to the ED office on Tuesday.
The Rajasthan High Court on January 21 directed partners of Sky Light Hospitality Company to appear before ED on February 12 for questioning in the Bikaner land case. The HC, however, restrained the ED from arresting the partners.
Robert Vadra and his mother Maureen Vadra are partners in the company.
The ED is conducting initial inquiry into a money laundering case in the Bikaner land case. In the investigation so far, the role of Sky Light Company has surfaced.
After initial hearing on the petition of Sky Light Hospitality on December 18, 2018, the HC had ordered that no coercive action shall be taken against the company. Along with this, notices were issued to the Ministry of Finance,and the ED.
