JAIPUR: Early morning on Dussehra, several people stood at the Nursery Circle in Vaishali Nagar with steel plates full of flowers to witness what was being called the ‘Trikoniya Sangam’ of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) parade on its foundation day.

They patiently waited under the scorching sun to welcome the parade. Two elephants stood by the side of the road ready to shower flowers on the RSS workers as the rally approach.

The ‘Path Sanchaalan’ rally by the RSS was carried out from a total of nine places on Tuesday. ‘Shashtra Poojan’ was performed with weapons were praised and speeches given by the RSS leaders at the Ramniwas Bagh Union football ground.

After this, the RSS workers marched in nine rallies throughout the city. As the RSS workers marched through the roads, the sound of drums accompanied them. Traffic diversions were made at several places and bystanders greeted them at several places along the rally path.

The Trikoniya Sangam which meant the meeting of three rallies on a point was the main attraction. “Welcoming the RSS workers is a part of our duty towards the nation,” said 43-year-old Manish Vijayvarghiya designer by profession, waiting at the circle to welcome the rally which was said to be nearing the spot at 11.45 am.

“Since independence till day, the only organisation which has worked behind the scenes to help the society and promote Indian culture is RSS,” said Vijayvarghiya. BM Vijayvarghiya, a retired bank officer waiting for the rally to arrive, was dressed as Lord Rama.

“I made a lot of efforts since morning in order to support the workers who do good to the society. Welcoming them I will feel as if I have done my bit for the nation,” said Vijayvarghiya.
