JAIPUR: Two p e r s o ns were arrested in Dungarpur on Monday on the charges of gang-raping a 17-year-old Dalit girl for two days at different locations, police said.

One more accused in the gang rape, a minor, has been detained, whil e a not her a c c us e d is absconding, said Chandmal Singariya, station house officer (SHO), Kotwali police station.

Singariya said the girl, who works as a labourer in Ahmedabad, was kidnapped by two of the four accused on a motorcycle on October 5 when she got down from a bus in Dungarpur. “Anil Damor (19) and Rahul (20) came on a motorcycle and offered to drop the girl home. They told her that her father had sent them to pick her,” the SHO said. “The two took her to a house in Sundarpur and held her captive for two days, raping her multiple times,” the police officer added.

Two other men also joined them in the house and also raped her on Saturday. The next day, Damor and Rahul took her to an isolated place and raped her again.

“The four of them went to buy alcohol on two motorcycles. When they were at the liquor shop, the girl shouted for help. The locals rescued the girl and took her to police station. The accused fled from there,” Singariya said.

After registration of an FIR, the girl was taken to hospital for medical examination. “A case was registered on Monday against four men under relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso) and SC/ST Act,” the SHO said.

“Damor and Rohit Kalal (19) have been arrested and one minor has been detained on charges of gang rape. The fourth accused is absconding,” he said.

Police said multiple cases of vehicle theft, burglary and theft were registered against Kalal. The motorcycle on which the accused kidnapped the girl did not have a registration plate, they added.
