STATE BJP CHIEF REFUTED BENIWAL’S CLAIMS AND SAID BJP LEADERS WORKED HARD TO ENSURE NARAYAN BENIWAL’S VICTORY

JAIPUR: Cracks seem to be appearing in the Bjp-rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) alliance in Rajasthan after RLP chief and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal accused former chief minister Vasundhara Raje and former cabinet minister Yunus Khan of working against the alliance candidate in the Khinvsar bypoll and sought action against them.

In a tweet, Beniwal said that despite the BJP-RLP alliance, Raje and Khan, who is seen as the former CM’S close aide, openly worked in favour of the Congress candidate in Khinvsar.

Beniwal’s brother Narayan won the Khinvsar seat by a narrow margin of 4,600 votes in the bypoll results declared on October 24. Congress won the Mandawa seat.

Tagging union home minister Amit Shah, BJP national working president JP Nadda and state BJP chief Satish Poonia in the tweet, Beniwal sought disciplinary action against Raje and Khan. “I have sought time from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda. I will meet them and complain about these leaders and seek action against them,” said Beniwal. He said only 35 percent of the BJP’S vote had gone to the alliance candidate, while the rest had gone to the Congress.

State BJP chief Satish Poonia though refuted Beniwal’s claims. “We gave the Khinvsar seat to the RLP as part of our strategy to defeat the Congress and we were successful in doing that. We also gave our suggestion on the choice of the candidate and felt that Narayan Beniwal was the most suitable. All our senior leaders campaigned in Khinvsar and helped Narayan win the seat.”

Poonia said he has advised Hanuman Beniwal to honour the alliance protocol and refrain from attacking the alliance partner or its leaders.
