Seven held for attacking dairy plant in Behror

JAIPUR: The Bhiwadi police on Monday arrested seven members of a gang and detained three others on charges of attacking a dairy plant in Behror police station area and damaging valuables worth half a crore rupees by setting them ablaze.

One pistol, one country-made gun, one gun magazine and 14 cartridges were recovered from the possession of the accused.

Bhiwadi superinten­dent of police (SP) Amandeep Kapoor said that the arrested accused are members of a gang operated by Vikram alias Laden. Laden aides lured the minors through social media and made them member of the gang.

The arrested accused were identified as Amit Kumar Yadav al i as Nikku ( 23) , native of Mahendraga­rh district of Haryana is also consider as one of the closest aide of Laden. The other arrested accused were identified as Devendra Kumar Gujar (29) alias Killer, native of Alwar; Nadan Gurjar alias Lukkha (20), native of Tonk district; Ramswaroop Gujrar (28), native of Alwar; Dayaram Gurjar alias Raj (26), native of Jaipur ;Vikram Singh alias Tiger (20) and Yash Sharma (24), native of Ajmer district.

“On November 30, a complaint was filed by a dairy plant owner from Behror that around 3.50am, nine to 10 youngster who were on bike fired at his dairy and torched his four vehicles and threatened the complainan­t. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV footage of the plant. Valuables worth Rs 56 lakhs were damaged. The motive of the attack was to create Laden’s fear among proprietor­s and extort money,” said Kapoor.

Seeing seriousnes­s of the case, multiple teams comprising the technical cell were formed to nab the accused.

The teams camped in Dudu, Bhiwadi, Nasur, Harsaura and Jaipur rural to nab the accused. On Sunday, the accused were detained from multiple locations and later arrested. However, Hansraj and Laden are still at large.

The doubt went on Laden as two days before the incident, his father Hansraj was seen near the dairy plant and during investigat­ion it was found that he along with another accused Rmaswaroop and Tiger had made the plan to attack the plant.

Name of Laden had al s o popped up in the murder of Jasram Gurjar, 40, who was the BSP candidate from Behror constituen­cy in the 2018 state assembly elections.

He was shot dead by was shot dead by unidentifi­ed assailants near a temple in Jainpurbas village in Behror on July 29. He was rushed to a hospital where he died during treatment.
