JAIPUR: Three of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) patients in Rajasthan have tested negative twice, which means they are coronavirus-free now, said health department officials on Sunday.

The Italian couple – 69-yearold husband and his 70-year-old wife – and 85-year-old Jaipur resident have tested negative twice, they said. “In Rajasthan, three patients have turned coronavirus free after treatment by our doctors at SMS Hospital,” said Rohit Kumar Singh, additional chief secretary of health department.

“They have other health issues, which will be sorted now, but they don’t need to be in isolation now and can choose to be in any hospital now,” he said.

Meanwhile, in Rajasthan, 417 samples have been tested until Sunday; four of them tested positive. Three of them are negative now. Seven samples are under process.

In Jaipur, 402 samples were tested, out of which 393 tested negative and five are under process.

In another development, women and child development minister Mamta Bhupesh said aganwadis and mini aganwadis will be closed until March 31 as a precautionary measure. The minister made these announcements during a review on coronavirus outbreak.

“The decision has been taken after Centre declared it an epidemic and issued an advisory to prevent spread of coronavirus,” she said.

The minister said distribution of home ration to children from 3 to 6 years will continue unaffected.

She told the department officials to put on hold measurement of children’s weight, Poshan Abhiyan and Poshan Pakhwara (fortnight) until further orders.
