KOTA: The Hadoti Vikas Morcha (HVM) activists organised a protest against the Union government in Kota district on Sunday, alleging that the Bjp-led government was attempting to topple the Congress government in Rajasthan.

They also protested against Governor Kalraj Mishr for “not allowing” the state government to convene assembly session “under pressure from the Union government.”

The Hadoti Vikas Morcha (HVM) workers, led by Rajendra Sankhala, assembled at Nanta Chauraha in Kota City and later marched towards the Kota-chittorgarh National Highway (NH-27) for blocking the highway.

However, Kota police stopped the HVM activists by putting up barricades on the way. When the workers tried to cross the barricades, they were taken into preventive custody by the police and taken away from the place in buses. Later, they were released.

Sankhala said the Congress government in Rajasthan has complete majority, but the Union government is conspiring to topple the state government. “When state government wants to convene assembly session, governor Kalraj Mishr is working under the Union government’s pressure and not allowing it to convene assembly session,” he said.

Reacting over the HVM charges, district BJP president Rambabu Soni said, “The allegations against the centre and governor are baseless as whatever political crisis is happening in the state is the result of internal dissidence in the party and BJP has nothing to do with it.”
