Josh Duhamel to replace Armie Hammer in Jlo-starrer?
Actor Josh Duhamel is reportedly in negotiations to come aboard and take over actor Armie Hammer’s role in the upcoming action-comedy, Shotgun Wedding.
The development comes after Hammer exited the film, which also stars actor-singer Jennifer Lopez, following a controversy over messages allegedly sent by the actor were leaked online.
If finalised, Duhamel, who is known for his role in the Transformers franchise, will step into the role of Tom in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows Darcy (Lopez) and Tom, who gather their lovable but opinionated families for the ultimate destination wedding, just as they begin to get cold feet. What’s more, everyone’s lives are suddenly in danger when the entire party is taken hostage.
The script of the film, which will be directed by Jason Moore of Pitch Perfect (2012) fame, has been penned by Liz Meriwether and Mark Hammer. Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman are producing the film, along with Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-thomas and Benny Medina.
