DAYS AFTER STATE SCHOOLS OPENED, SOME STUDENTS TEST COVID +VE
KOTA: Some students and teachers have tested Covid-19 positive after the schools reopened for classes 6-8 in the state from February 8.
One girl student each from Jhalawar, Jhalrapatan and Bhawanimandi government school from Jhalawar and one boy of a private school in Bhawanimandi and a teacher of Jhalawar have tested positive in the last couple of days.
The random sampling of the students has been done.
A girl student was also found infected in Dausa’s Lalsot last week after which she was quarantined and classes were suspended.
District education officer, Jhalawar, Surendra Singh Gaour said, “All the students who have tested positive are studying in class 9 to 12 have been quarantined and schools have been sanitized.”
A student was also found infected with Covid-19 in government school from Chiklad in Pratapgarh district, said chief district education officer, Pratapgarh, Yugal Bihari Dadhich.
Director, School Education, Secondary, Rajasthan, Saurabh Swami said, “The district collectors are looking after Covid-19 management and all the chief district education officers have been instructed to follow all SOPS of Covid-19 which include quarantining the infected students, closing the school for a week, sanitization and wearing face masks.”
Meanwhile, an American soldier, who was part of the contingent that in Bikaner for participation in the joint Indo-us military exercise in Mahajan field range has also tested positive.
