Under the Covid-19 vaccination program, Rajasthan has set record by vaccinating 1,22,367 beneficiaries in a single day on February 17.
Health Secretary, Rajasthan, Siddharth Mahajan said this is the largest number of doses to be given to employees of the same department on a single day. He said that the department has succeeded in achieving about 95% of the target set for the day. “Also 687 health workers were given second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on February 17,” he said. While first dose of Covid-19 has already been given to 744632 beneficiaries in the state so far of which 39,55,52 are health workers and 352080 are frontline workers.
JAIPUR: An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Jaipur city police, along with a middleman, was caught red-handed by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) while taking a bribe of ₹1 lakh from a complainant in lieu of removing his name from a case registered against him
The arrested ASI has been identified as Radhe Shyam, posted at Vidyadhar Nagar police station. The middleman has been identified as Madhusudhan Sharma, said Bhagwan Lal Soni, director general (DG), ACB. “The special investigation wing of ACB received a complaint from a person that the ASI who is investigating officer of a case is demanding ₹1 lakh from him in lieu of removing his name from the case via Sharma,” added Soni.
