CHEATING RACKET BUSTED, 6 HELD

JAIPUR: The Jaipur city police on Thursday arrested six people, including five invigilato­rs, who were allegedly part of a racket providing cheating material in advance to candidates appearing for the Railways Recruitmen­t Board (RRB) examinatio­ns.

“In order to maintain law and order and stop cheating in exams, police force is deployed at centres in civil dress. One of them received a complaint on Wednesday that cheating material in the form of written slips is been supplied to one of the candidates identified as Mukesh Kumar appearing at one of the centres in Sanganer Sadar area. Acting on the tip-off, the accused was caught red-handed and held,” said Harendra Kumar, deputy commission­er of police (DCP), South.

When the accused was quizzed, he confessed that the answers were supplied by one of the invigilato­rs.

JAIPUR: The health department will conduct a “mop-up round” on Friday for vaccinatio­n of health care and front-line workers, who could not be vaccinatio­n for the Covid-19 earlier.

Health minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that in the mop-up round, the health care workers and the front line workers can come and get vaccinated at any of the session sites.

He said this arrangemen­t has been made to give opportunit­y to the health care worker and front line worker, who are deprived of taking first or second dose of corona vaccine on the scheduled session site.
