HOOP DANCER, TEACHER AND FOUNDER, HOOP FLO Hula hoop, dance, and #sareeflow — remember Kutty’s viral video where she’s swinging to Genda Phool song? Inspiring many women to find comfort in movement, she has been a catalyst for hoop and flow art culture in India. And has even inspired women to embrace their bodies, by building their confidence.

KUCHIPUDI DANCER

The art and culture sector suffered much during the pandemic. But unruffled by the restrictio­ns on stage performanc­es, Singh took to performing virtually for her dance school, Natya Tarangini’s online concert, and motivated others.

FOUNDER, INDIA STORY She developed an app called India Story, that draws on India’s ancient art of storytelli­ng to highlight and educate people about the past of this diverse country. The app, completely managed by students, makes use of interactiv­e audio guides.

The duo started Project Arambha, in collaborat­ion with the NGO, 1M1B (1 Million for 1 Billion) to support college education and secure the future of underprivi­leged girls between the age of 1622 years by raising funds and helping them gain employment.

CEO AND FOUNDER, COPAL-19

This Iit-delhi student spearheade­d the developmen­t of COPAL-19 app in collaborat­ion with Dr Abhinav Singh Verma of AIIMS, which will help build a plasma donor bank to speed up recovery of Covid-19 patients.

During the Covid-19 induced lockdown, these two students launched an online fitness initiative called Covidfitcl­ub, to help kids stay healthy. They also donated their earnings from this initiative to various charities.

His Youtube page Beerbiceps was started for health and fitness enthusiast­s that expanded into a self improvemen­t and self help channel. With 3.5 million subscriber­s on Youtube and 1.4 millions on Instagram, his fitness journey through the lockdown kept the audience motivated.

India’s first ‘diabetic’ chef, a cloud kitchen, that serves a range of sugar-free desserts and milkshakes for the diabetic and health conscious customers. Last year, he launched a special range of vegan and diabetic friendly chocolates.
