Yodhya to host Ramayan conclave next month
Ayodhya will host a day Ramayan conclave next th in which artists from all ss the state will perform leela, a dance-based perance of various parts of ayan and folk culture ts. Artists from Bundelk, Purvanchal, Awadhan, Brij and Paschimanchal take part in the two –day t beginning August 29. ting competition and seminar based on Ramayan will also be organised. The Ayodhya administration has constituted a committee headed by district magistrate that will oversee the event.
Lavkush Dwivedi, director, Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan, said all Covid-19 protocols will be followed during the event.
This will be the first major event in Ayodhya after construction work of Ram Mandir began in August last year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had presided over bhumi pujan of Ram Mandir on August 5 last year in Ayodhya.
In 2017, the Yogi Adityanath government had organised the six-day Ramayan conclave spread over several locations in the state, including Lucknow, Ayodhya and Chitrakoot.
Teams from Indonesia’s Bali province, Thailand, Burma, Suriname,
Fiji, Sri Lanka and Cambodia along with several other countries had participated at the mega event. Famous Ramlilas of India also showcased their talent at the mega event.
From the oldest and grandest Ramlila of Ramnagar, Varanasi, constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to the famous Assamese Ramlila and those performed in South India were major highlights of the event.
