State govt to expedite ongoing Ayodhya projects
LUCKNOW: The state government has decided to expedite all ongoing projects in Ayodhya which can be completed in next five to six months. The projects run by the central government also figured in this list.
The makeover of Ayodhya Railway station is one such project of the centre that had been expedited. Several departments of the state government were already executing their projects in Ayodhya, including the Ayodhya Development Authority, said a senior official of the state government.
The foundation work of the Ram temple has been expedited with the target of completing it before Diwali (in November) and starting the construction work of the temple’s main structure on this auspicious occasion. “All efforts will be made to complete these projects in the next five-six months,” the official said.
“All projects in Ayodhya will be completed on time. The state government is committed to complete all projects within the fixed time frame,” said Lallu Singh, BJP MP from Ayodhya.
The Ayodhya divisional commissioner has been appointed nodal officer for the development projects in Ayodhya.
PM had virtually reviewed Vision Document for Ayodhya in a virtual meeting with CM Yogi Adityanath on June 26. Recently, chairman of the Housing Board and other senior officials were in Ayodhya, to review progress of the ongoing projects and for the spot inspection of sites for future projects.
Ayodhya to host 2-day Ramayan conclave
Ayodhya will host a two-day Ramayan conclave next month in which artists from all across the state will perform Ramleela, a dance-based performance of various parts of Ramayan and folk culture events.
Artists from Bundelkhand,
Purvanchal, Awadhanchal, Brij and Paschimanchal will take part in the two –day event beginning August 29.
Painting competition and seminar based on Ramayan will also be organised.
The Ayodhya administration has constituted a committee headed by district magistrate that will oversee the event.
Lavkush Dwivedi, director, Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan, said all Covid-19 protocols will be followed during the event.
This will be the first major event in Ayodhya after construction work of Ram Mandir began in August last year.
