Darshan Kumar is happy with the kind of boom the OTT space is now witnessing, and feels this is an ideal phase for actors and other creative talent. But, the actor asserts that makers must not compromise on quality of content being put out.

“OTT platforms are celebratin­g real talent, as content has become the hero, which is a win-win situation for all. But, makers need to be cautious, as audience is smart and aware. They are getting to watch Korean shows and internatio­nal content, so our product has to be at par with their standard,” says the actor, adding that makers are now working towards raising the bar.

Having starred in web shows The Family Man (TFM) and Aashram, to name a few, Kumar adds that audience can now instantly give their feedback on his work, something which he says gives him a ‘boost’. “The hate messages for Major Sameer in The Family Man 2 and Toofan, positive messages for my role of Major
